Make every new hire feel expected.

01 / For HR and growing teams

Keep the employee list connected

Sync employee names, email addresses, start dates and available department details from Gusto. Review the roster and upcoming dates in Printonic.

Create a rhythm of recognition

Set up welcome, birthday and work-anniversary gifts. Birthday programs use dates that your Gusto account makes available to the connection.

Keep people and spending in view

Set per-gift and monthly caps. Hold sends for approval, or let the team owner enable payment within the rule’s budget from the team balance.

02 / From a connection to a gift

How Gusto gifting works.

  1. 01

    Connect your Gusto company

The Printonic team owner opens Integrations, chooses Gusto and signs in to approve access to the company’s employee details.

  2. 02

    Review your people and dates

Check the synced roster, email addresses and start dates. Confirm that any dates you want to use for birthday or anniversary gifts are available.

  3. 03

    Build one thoughtful program

Choose a welcome or milestone gift, write the message and set lead time, spending caps and approval rules. Start with one occasion before adding more.

  4. 04

    Review, send and follow along

An eligible employee’s gift follows your rule. Once paid, their private link collects their address and any open product choices. See each send and any action needed in Printonic.

03 / A little preparation

What you need to connect.

You can explore the gifts now. When you’re ready to connect Gusto, have these details ready.

Read the team account guide
  • A Printonic team owner to connect the Gusto company.
  • A Gusto account with permission to approve access to employee details.
  • Employee email addresses and the dates your program needs. Birthday availability depends on the access granted by Gusto.

Employee details refresh periodically, with a default interval of six hours and a manual sync available. Date-based gift rules are checked hourly. Allow time for the recipient to respond and for production and shipping.

A few useful answers.

Which employee occasions can we plan for?

Use new-hire start dates, birthdays and work anniversaries, or a custom annual date. The employee roster must include the relevant dates and an email address before a rule can send a gift.

Does connecting Gusto send gifts immediately?

No. Connecting imports employee details. You choose and enable a gift rule, including the products, message, timing, spending caps and approval setting. A roster refresh alone does not start a gifting program.

Can I try a gift before connecting Gusto?

Yes. Browse the public catalog, choose a gift or request a sample kit. You can start a team order without an HR integration and connect Gusto when you are ready to build a recurring program.

Start with the gift.
Connect when you’re ready.

Browse gifts, see what’s included and find the right fit for your people. You can start without connecting a CRM or HR system.
